The Moloney Difference . . . in Your Neighbors’ Own Words

mkj • Jun 06, 2019

During our 85+ years serving families throughout Central Islip , Lake Ronkonkoma , Holbrook , Port Jefferson Station , Bohemia , Center Moriches , and Hauppauge , our staff has learned many valuable lessons, including this one: Above all, we want to earn the trust and confidence of every family who reaches out to us. We realize when people walk through our doors, they may be going through the most difficult time in their lives. This is why we are passionate about providing the best, most compassionate funeral and cremation care possible.

Moloney Family Funeral Homes Owner Daniel Moloney Jr. comes from a long line of funeral care professionals, beginning with their grandfather, James P. Moloney, who founded Moloney Funeral Home in 1933. Then and now, the Moloneys view their role as more of a calling than a job. Their knowledge, professionalism, and strong sense of values – what we call “ The Moloney Difference ” – help set us apart from other funeral homes in the area. And the families we serve agree.

We’ve collected online reviews so you can read what families who have come to Moloney Funeral Homes have to say about our service, our staff, and the care we extend every step of the way.

“At my friend’s wake I observed the staff at the Port Jefferson Station location exhibiting genuine compassion and kindness toward the family and those who were paying their respects. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and they took the time to hold the door open for me and say goodbye when I left.”

“My mother battled Alzheimer’s for years, her body was weak and frail. We were hesitant to do an open casket but Tom, the funeral director, heard our concerns but suggested to give their team a chance to make her beautiful. The following day we saw our mother, she was beautiful and exactly the way she was in her healthier years. The whole Moloney staff was amazing; especially Jessica, Michelle and Tom. Thank you for making these emotional days easier and guiding us through this process.”

“This is my family’s 2nd time using the Moloney’s services in the past 8 months, and even though it was for sad circumstances, we all felt nothing but care and peace. Such a wonderful job. You’re all like angels helping us at our worst times in life. It takes special people to do what you have done. Your selflessness is impeccable as is the respect you all show.”

“The compassionate staff at Moloneys made the difficult loss of my mom a little bit easier. We didn’t have to worry about anything. Everything was handled so professionally and with great care. Ann Leavy was amazing. Our funeral director Jim was excellent as well. Kota, the sweet therapy dog brought comfort to my daughter and nieces and nephews. I highly recommend Moloney Funeral Homes.”

We take every comment and review to heart, and hope you’ll come to us during your time of need. We specialize in telling the story of a life and offer more personalization options than other funeral homes in the area while still keeping costs reasonable. Please reach out to us anytime, day or night. We’re here for you when you need us.
