3 Ways a Family-Owned Funeral Home is a Benefit to You

mkj • Sep 13, 2022

Since F. Daniel Moloney Sr. founded Moloney Family Funeral Homes back in 1937, our family has been committed to serving Hauppauge , Long Island , and Bohemia families and beyond during some of their most difficult moments. It’s not just a job for us; it truly is our family’s calling.

Yet every day, we hear about more and more family-owned funeral homes selling to large corporations. At Moloney Family Funeral Homes , we don’t answer to a board of directors or our shareholders. We answer to you – our neighbors, the families that make up this beautiful part of New York.

There are several things that set us apart as a family-owned and -operated funeral home, and they all benefit you and your family:

We know you will hold us accountable.
We are out and about in the community all the time. There are some families we have been serving for decades, helping them plan personalized services and tributes for a number of their friends and family members. We have a commitment to maintaining the good relationship we have with these wonderful folks. We know there is a very good chance we will see them again – whether it’s at a favorite local restaurant or at a charity event. We feel a responsibility to treat them, and everyone associated with them, with the highest levels of respect. This level of accountability is unique to a family-owned funeral home.

We know this community.
Since we’ve been a part of this community for so long, we know what makes its residents tick. We are intimate with the beliefs, culture, and traditions that make living in Long Island , Center Moriches , and Bohemia so special. With your help, when it comes time to plan a visitation or service after your loved one dies, we will know how to make it special. We will plan a service that reflects their interests, hobbies, culture, and accomplishments. Whether it’s a formal funeral or a more relaxed memorial service, the team at Moloney Family Funeral Homes knows how to help you plan a farewell that truly tells your loved one’s story.

We ’ll pay attention to the details so you don’t have to.
When you walk into Moloney Family Funeral Homes , we want you to feel right at home. The comfort and convenience of our facilities is incredibly important to us. We know it’s the little things that make the difference. We will also treat you with the same kind of compassion and respect we would extend to our own family at such a difficult time. Whether you need assistance immediately or would like to make funeral and burial plans ahead of time , our kind and professional staff is ready to serve you and walk you through every decision you need to make.

If you have questions about any of our services, reach out to us today. We are here for you around the clock.
