Study after study has shown that animals – especially dogs – have a positive impact on not only your mind and emotions, but also your physical health. That’s why at Moloney Family Funeral Homes, it made sense for us to have a grief therapy dog on our team.
Kota, a Weimaraner/Lab mix, offers comfort to hurting families.Whether it’s a gentle nudge in the arrangement office, or his quiet, calming presence during a service (when requested), Kota has an uncanny way of knowing how to console the grieving.
Kota also has a very special story – if he had not been rescued by the Moloney family, he would have shortly been euthanized. Today, his sweet nature and love for giving kisses offers comforting care to the families we serve. We invite you to come meet Kota any time.
