Schefer, William H. of Holbrook NY (formerly of North Merrick) on November 6, 2010 in his 82nd year. Beloved Husband of Barbara. Loving father of Keith, William, David and Ellen Cronin. Dear Brother of Ethel Hults. Cherished Grandfather of six. Proudly served 8 years in the U.S. Navy as a B.M.S.N. He was on the boxing team in the Navy as well as in Grumman. Retired from the Town of Hempstead. Reposing Moloneys Holbrook Funeral Home. 825 Main Street, Holbrook NY where a Religious Service will be held Tuesday at 8:00 pm. Funeral Wednesday 10:00 am. Interment Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton NY. Visiting Monday and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Post 1280, 160 W.
