Umberto "Al" Rizzi

Umberto (“Al”) Rizzi unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Al was born on September 27, 1943 to Joseph and Amelia Rizzi in New York City. Al served in the U.S. Navy and was a Nassau Police Officer serving for over 26 years in the 3rd Precinct. Al married his high school sweetheart on June 26, 1963. He and Iris retired to Cape Coral Florida in 1989 and were snowbirds traveling back and forth to their home on Long Island, New York, always vacationing in the memorable Green School Bus residing in the Adirondacks. Al is survived by his wife Iris Marie Rizzi; his sons Albert & Timothy, Tim’s wife RoseAnn, and grandchildren Johnathan Umberto Rizzi and Marissa Rizzi. Al and Iris recently celebrated 59 years of marriage and had been together since they were teenagers.

Services will be held at Moloney Funeral Home – Holbrook on Monday, August 15th during the hours of 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm.
