Theresa “Terry” Seng – June 19, 1923 to August 27, 2017

Theresa “Terry” Seng of Center Moriches, New York passed away on August 27, 2017 after a long illlness. She was 94.

Terry was born in Philadelphia on June 19, 1923 to James J. O’Neill and Sarah (Gilmore).  She graduated from West Catholic Girls High School, attending her reunions well into her 80’s.

She married Eugene F. Seng on June 26, 1943 becoming an Army Air Corps./Air Force wife for the next 22 years.

Her husband’s subsequent career with Grumman Aerospace brought her to Center Moriches in late 1971 where she fell in love with the community.

Terry’s many activities included St. John the Evangelist lector and contributor to Eagle’s Wings, Past President/charter member Moriches Bay Garden Club, Past President Eastern Long Island Quilt Guild, Friends of the Library, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, Forge River Senior Citizens, Moriches Yacht Club and June’s Silver Steppers.  She cherished her countless friendships and fond memories of Center Moriches.

She was predeceased by her husband Eugene, son Gene Seng Jr., daughters Judi Smith and Peggy O’Donnell and her sister Mary Agnes Dubin-Hanahan.  She is survived by children Marianne “Taffy” Kelly, Kathryn Gurland (Bob), Thomas Seng (Mary), Theresa Agnetti, Robert Seng (Cathy), Jeffrey Seng and 9 grandchildren.

Reposing at Moloney-Sinnickson Funeral Home, 203 Main Street, Center Moriches, NY.  Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday, August 31st at 10:00 a.m. Saints Peter & Paul Church, 781 Wading River Road, Manorville, NY.Â

Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Center Moriches, NY.

Visitation Wednesday, August 30th – 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.
