We are sorry for your loss
So sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
May God Bless the Gambino Family.
Now, in a moment of private grief, thoughts and prayers to Lisa and her family. It's moments like this where we hearken to the past to briefly relive those formative times well spent, knowing now that our journey into the future has paused in coming together as we remember Steve. As a burgeoning news director, Steve was steadfast and sure. He brought a level of confidence that would later blossom into a professionalism that many strove to match.
Yet underneath that guise of broadcast mystique, Steve had that magical humorous side that lent itself to the foundation of what became the Who Knows What Show. He brought in a dry wit that would add a certain twist to a caller's question which then unleashed a cascade of tasteful farce amongst the rest of the cast.
After Steve moved on to his professional career, you soon realize that he was not someone you "replace", but rather you learn from as others soon did who followed.
Now in what has fast become the Twilight of his life, a life well-lived, many will raise questions....questions brought on by a loss as deep as this. In your search for answers as your faith is tested, please remember the words found in Hebrews, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen."
May God Bless all who were privileged by any time spent with Steve and most of all, may God Bless Lisa and their family.
I worked with Steve at WBAU radio at Adelphi University. He was a good man and a dedicated broadcaster. We'll see him again one day, but will miss him for awhile.
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
