Rose Zollo Famighetti, 97, of Gilbert, AZ passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023. She was born on July 23, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Vincenzo and Maggie Giocola Zollo, the 11th of 15 children.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Peter A. Famighetti, 4 sisters and 6 brothers. She is survived by her children, Peter Famighetti (Joyce), Esther Famighetti Carr, sisters Anna Yodice, Helen Giangola, Vera Mangogna and Evelyn Zollo, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, known as Aunt RoRo or Grandma RoRo.
As a resident of Waldwick, NJ for 54 years, she faithfully attended Wyckoff Assembly of God. Moving to Gilbert, AZ in 2010, she attended Sunrise Church.
She loved her family and relatives near and far that she spoke with daily on the phone. She enjoyed cooking for all and listening to hymns and Christian ministries.
Funeral Services will be held at Thursday 10:00 am, February 9, 2023 at the Moloney Funeral Home, 825 Main Street, Holbrook, NY with son Peter Famighetti and Rev. Jonathan Farrant officiating. Immediately following the service funeral procession will travel to Calverton National Cemetery 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY.
The family will receive family and friends following the cemetery at La Famiglia restaurant, 250 W Main St., Smithtown, NY.
