Maura, I'll never forget our morning laughs at Waverly when you were pregnant with Daniel and dropping Gabriel off a little late. You were always so hard on yourself but boy, could I relate to your "messiness". You made me feel like I wasn't alone in the chaos of motherhood. You were a fierce advocate for your children and our Dollar Tree parking lot chat in the height of covid was a trip. My daughter sat "patiently" in the passenger seat as we relentlessly vented about the jab, the masks and all the "conspiracy theories" that became truths after all. Lol. Or our run ins at Dunkin Donuts with your niece (I think it was your niece?!?!) That has downs who you just absolutely LOVED and beamed with pride over. My heart hurts for your beautiful boys and your husband. I can't imagine the emptiness they are feeling right now. I know you fought like hell because that is who you were. Sometimes, we make plans but our plans are different than God's purpose for us. No one will understand it now, or anytime soon, but I just know that your death will not be in vain. Your friends and your family will surely honor you by "picking up where you left off" and take care of your family. I pray for peace and comfort for all the hearts that are grieving and I am grateful that our paths crossed. God puts people in our path for a reason. I know god gave me Maura to teach me patience, generosity, compassion, love, and so much more. I’m so blessed to have known her. She made friends everywhere she went. The day I met Maura, I was waking my dog down her block when a sweet little boy came running outside. Gabriel yelled, “hey! That looks like my dog!” Then he ran back inside to grab Louie to show me how he was Baxter’s twin. Maura stepped out to see what was going on then introduced herself. Since that day, we went to the pool together, she left little gifts in my mailbox, made a beautiful wreath for my door, and sent me messages to make me smile. I’m so heartbroken that she was taken from earth. Maura was an angel on earth an all angels go back to heaven. May you rest in peace, my friend. Your legacy will live on through your beautiful boys. She was one of my childhood best friends, and even tho I knew her along time ago she has always and will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm so sorry this happened to such a good person. God puts people in our path for a reason. I know god gave me Maura to teach me patience, generosity, compassion, love, and so much more. I’m so blessed to have known her. She made friends everywhere she went. The day I met Maura, I was waking my dog down her block when a sweet little boy came running outside. Gabriel yelled, “hey! That looks like my dog!” Then he ran back inside to grab Louie to show me how he was Baxter’s twin. Maura stepped out to see what was going on then introduced herself. Since that day, we went to the pool together, she left little gifts in my mailbox, made a beautiful wreath for my door, and sent me messages to make me smile. I’m so heartbroken that she was taken from earth. Maura was an angel on earth an all angels go back to heaven. May you rest in peace, my friend. Your legacy will live on through your beautiful boys. Your soul lives in them. I will miss you dearly and will pray for strength for your boys, husband, friends and family. Love you xoxo
