Martine Cognet left a message on December 7, 2022:
I am so sorry for your loss. One of my most recent memorable conversations with Matt was about his children. He loved them with every fiber of his being. Through the years we often shared the pain and sacrifices we made for our children. He never complained and always found positive words of encouragement. Matt was ecstatic and so proud that he accomplished his goal as a Dad. He felt confident that his son would always be successful! He was happy that his daughter was making strides to accomplish her goals. I am so grateful for the years mentorship he provided to my boys. While I am so sad for his family to endure the grief of loss I am confident that Matt will continue to watch over his entire family. Rest in peace my friend you will be missed by so many. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Doug Warren left a message on December 7, 2022:
Matt is one of the most amazing personalities and one of Gods best efforts. As a new cable guy, working on impossible projects, Matt always approached everything with humor and common sense. He was a huge influence on me, not only professionally but personally. I could always count on him for an ear and we would always trade boat stories. I bought the Lucky Dawg in 1996 and to this day, it's my favorite boat. The world just got a little more boring with out Matt in it. Just down right good people.

Barry Monopoli left a message on December 7, 2022:
What no one ever questioned was Matt’s kind nature or intent. Matt was the kind of person where you get what you see, and for me, that meant a good joke or story, and a warm smile. Matt was proud to be a father and dedicated his life towards his family. It was an honor to know and work with him……...My condolences to the family
