My sweet dear friend Mary Ellen..words could not express how much you meant to me..from a little girl coming to your house and always having hot chocolate and stacks of english muffins for us and many parties we shared together. You always told me how much you loved me and called me doll at the end of each phone call and cards you sent me..i will always remember you telling me about the shiny penny and little reindeer i gave you when i was a little girl that you saved all these years. I will miss picking up the phone to call you knowing you are at the other end giving me advice and making me laugh ooh and our long talks about General Hospital. My heart hurts to know that God chose you to be one of his angels..because you will no longer be here with us. Mary ellen you were like a Mother to me. I will always hold you close to my heart now and forever..Heaven is blessed to have you. Every time i see a rainbow or a beautiful butterfly i will look up and think of you!! Love with hugs and kisses you baby doll Nicolie xoxoxoxo

She is Gone
By David Harkins
You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
RIP Mary Ellen

RIP Mary Ellen, I'll remember you with your sister Ellie at the Smith Point beach sunny days and warm winds, drives to the North Fork wine tasting and eating at the Modern Snack Bar. Your many visits to my house to help your sister Ellie write Christmas cards and enjoy Thanksgiving together.
God’s Garden
By Melissa Shreve
God looked around his garden and found an empty place
He then looked down upon the Earth and saw your tired face
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest
With the help of his angels they flew you to your heavenly place
Gods garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best
He knew you were suffering, he knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never get well on Earth again
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills too hard to climb
He closed your weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be Thine”
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you the day God called you home
