At the time my husband Mario passed away in 2017, we were married 61wonderful years. My heart broke,I'd never be happy again. They say time heals all wounds,I sure do hope so.Mario and i met in the summer of 1955 on the boardwalk in coney island,Brooklyn NY.He was 21 i was 17.It was love at first sight for both of us.We saw each other every day and married in May 1956.My family loved him very much.He was wonderful. After we married we stayed in brooklyn for seven years. We had 3 children,1son and 2daughters.We loved and adored them.As our children grew we decided to move to Suffolk county. We opened a Pizza Restaurant with one of Mario's brothers. We bought a house ,went on lots of family vacations with the kids, had fun in the backyard pool,Sunday dinners with extended family. Life was great. Mario loved playing cards, loved casinos, loved western and adventure movies,he was one of the rare guys that liked a movie with a love story. He loved Islanders hockey,NY baseball and football, but most of all he loved driving our car, when Disney opened in Florida we drove there,we drove upstate NY often,Niagara Falls, lake george, baseball hall of fame, and all the forts we could find,we traveled Pennsylvania alot, liberty bell,Hershey, and of course Canada. The kids loved it.Just going for a drive was fun. It will be 5 years in September since Mario passed away ,but I still miss him like crazy. With Mario family was everything,we meant the world to him.He is greatly missed by everyone who knew him.He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa and great -grandpa. We loved each other with all our hearts,he was and always will be my one and only love Forever, Audrey
