It is difficult to describe the loss of a colleague/friend like Marie. Her energy, her intelligence and her frankness were always appreciated. This earned her the respect she deserved through out our industry. She is missed more than I care to say.

Dearest Marie, I know you and Mom are together now, sharing a cup of tea and causing trouble. The friendship you two had, not just as neighbors but as mothers and kindred spirits will go on. We will always be here for Matt and Tony, and remember you fondly. Thank you for being the best neighbor anyone could hope for, even to a bunch of long haired hippies like us! We will love you and your boys always. Rest peacefully, friend.

I worked with Marie and DB Schenker. Marie had a way of taking something difficult and breaking it down so you got the AHA moment. I loved Marie's sense of humor. I'll miss arguing with her over how to make a real NY sandwich!

I met Marie in 1986 when she joined SchenkerS International Forwarders Inc. in the World Trade Center and have with her until her retirement. I have wonderful memories of all the discussion we've had about work, our families and our only disagreements were about me being a METS and Islander fan. Also on behalf of my SchenkerS facebook page (around 150 colleagues from 1993 and prior, many of them knew Marie) I extend our deepest condolences to Tony, Matthew and all her loved ones. We fondly remember Marie, may she Rest in Peace.

My heart aches over the loss of Marie. Neither time nor distance lessened our friendship and I will miss the occasional hour(s) long telephone calls to catch up. I know Marie's strength came from her love for her family and friends. She will live on in all our hearts until we meet again.
