SMIDOWICZ – Marie O’Brien of Holbrook, NY passed away peacefully on May 16, 2022. Marie was born January 12, 1956 in the Bronx, NY. She was a devoted wife to Anthony F. Smidowicz for 39 years. Loving mother to her son Matthew. Marie was an avid NY Ranger and Boston Red Sox fan. She loved animals, especially her grand puppy Yogi. She enjoyed playing the slots in Las Vegas, and listening to her favorite musician, Bruce Springsteen.

I met Marie in 1986 when she joined SchenkerS International Forwarders Inc. in the World Trade Center and have with her until her retirement. I have wonderful memories of all the discussion we've had about work, our families and our only disagreements were about me being a METS and Islander fan. Also on behalf of my SchenkerS facebook page (around 150 colleagues from 1993 and prior, many of them knew Marie) I extend our deepest condolences to Tony, Matthew and all her loved ones.
