Malay Kumar Ghosh

Malay Kumar Ghosh, Age 80, (1936-2017) dedicated husband, loving father, doting grandfather, and family patriarch, passed away on May 8^th, 2017. He lived both as a patriotic Indian and a lovable New Yorker when he moved to America in 2010. A dedicated officer of the Government of India, he was employed by the Defense Department until his retirement in 1994. He was a passionate soccer and cricket addict, had an indelible memory, and sharpened his mind by playing puzzles and crosswords, reading news from all parts of the world, and learning the new features on the Apple devices with his favorite iPad (the Hearts app was his favorite). Family first was his motto as he lived a simple yet disciplined life with strong values of integrity and work ethics and a passion for soaking up knowledge, values that he passed on to his children and grandchildren. While he will always be the family patriarch, he is survived by his wife, a younger brother, three daughters and sons-in-law from Texas, Michigan, and New York, as well as his four grandchildren who were all by his side as he gave us his final blessings.
