Diaz, Luis R. of Port Jefferson Station, NY on December 16, 2010 in his 83rd year. Luis worked for the Suffolk County Courts as a Spanish interpretor for 20 years and was recognized by Robert Gaffney for his dedication and service to the county. Luis also dedicated 25 years of his life as a Maitre D. He worked at Old Westbury Manor, Northports La Capanina and Monte Cristo in Great River. Luis was also recognized by Mike McGrady in Newsdays restaurant review and also Mikes book The Best Restaurants on Long Island. Beloved husband of the late Winifred. Loving father of Nancy Love, Jeanette Sherin and the late Eileen Starke.
Cherished Grandfather of Damon, Eric, Brian and Scott. Luis will also be missed by his pal Buddy. A Memorial Visiting will be held Sunday 2-4 and 7-9PM at Moloneys Port Jefferson Station Funeral Home 523 Route 112 Port Jefferson Station, NY. Religious service 8PM. www.Moloneyfh.com
