Dr. Krishana Kumar Jajoo

Dr. Krishana Jajoo passed away February 18th, 2021, he was 80 years old.

Dr. Jajoo was born March 4th, 1940 in Gwalior, India.  He completed his medical education at Gajra Raja Medical College (GRMC) and emigrated initially to England and later Brooklyn, NY.  Dr. Jajoo settled on Long Island where he practiced medicine at Long Island Jewish Hospital for the majority of his career, living in Westbury and more recently Roslyn.

 Krishana is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Pratibha (Ranu) Jajoo, his brother Atma and his wife Laxmi, his sister Krishana Dhoot and his children Dr. Kunal Jajoo and his wife Dr. Marguerite Brackley, his daughter Dr. Parul Jajoo Mehrotra and her husband Amit Mehrotra along with his four loving grandchildren, Ellora, Devan, Siana and Lukesh.

 Krishana Jajoo was one of the most caring human beings. His love and devotion to family, friends and patients reached no limits. His unquestionable support and caring of his aging father and mother-in-law were heart-warming and exemplified his approach to all around him.  He had a genuine interest in people, which was evident from his childhood. Dr. Jajoo was always known to be the initiator of bringing family and friends together.  He was an extremely generous person deep in his heart.

 Dr. Jajoo’s caring for others was exemplified in his tireless dedication to the practice of medicine and all of his patients. Dr. Jajoo was trained in India to practice medicine and he developed keen skills for clinical diagnosis.  Friends and family from around the globe would always call Dr. Jajoo first whenever a medical opinion was needed. He was truly everyone’s physician … everyone’s “Doctor Uncle”.  He went out of his way to help all with no thought for anything in return.

 He was tireless in efforts to be the best – the best father, the best husband, the best friend, the best doctor.  His life touched so many and we were all the better for knowing him.
