Joe was our neighbor on Julia Goldbach Ave. in Bohemia for many years. He was like the mayor of the block. If you needed help with anything, Joe was there. He even sat in our house in the middle of the night to stay with our son, Jeff, when our oldest son, Frankie, was taken to the hospital in a police car due to a serious illness. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He was one of the kindest, sweetest, most giving people that we know. We understand that now he's with Millie who is the love of his life, but we will miss him so much until we all meet in heaven. Our sincerest sympathies to all the members of Joe's family.
