So sorry to hear of John’s passing. Until we moved to NC, John came to our Islip Terrace house every year to watch the Super Bowl. The kids always looked forward to his home-made cheese cake. I have fond memories of sharing the pink ‘Gildersleeve’ house in Bohemia with John, my brother Roy, Jim Suozo, Chris McLoughlin and Joe Perillo, and all the years of playing basketball at the CISH Rec Center. The last few years we spoke on the phone before the big game, including this year. It won’t be the same. May he Rest In Peace.
