Joaquina Robles Corporán, de 93 años, de Brentwood, Nueva York, falleció pacíficamente el 2 de junio de 2023, en su casa rodeada de su familia amorosa.

Joaquina nació el 21 de agosto de 1929 en San Cristóbal, República Dominicana, la hija mayor de Cristóbal Robles Reinoso y Elisa Ciprian de Jesús. A la tierna edad de 11 años, la madre de Joaquina falleció. Ella asumió la responsabilidad de criar a sus cinco hermanos y se convirtió en una presencia maternal por vida para sus hermanos.

En 1947, Joaquina se casó con Juan María Corporán Ceballos, y juntos procrearon 14 hijos. Joaquina y Juan vivieron felices juntos hasta su inesperada muerte en 1981. En 1984, Joaquina emigró a Brentwood, Nueva York, en los Estados Unidos de América, con la ayuda de su hija mayor Angela, que había emigrado años antes. Joaquina trabajó diligentemente para facilitar la migración de todos sus hijos a Nueva York.

Desde 1994, Joaquina era un miembro devoto de la Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer y rara vez faltaba a un servicio. Su fuerza provenía de su profundo compromiso en Dios y su creencia en el poder de la oración. Trabajó en Renco Electronics en Deer Park, Nueva York hasta que se retiró a los 62 años.

Joaquina era la querida matriarca de la familia Corporán Robles. Era una mujer honesta, dinámica, generosa y fuerte. Corporán y Francisca Corporán; su hermano menor, Francisco Robles; sus 37 nietos y sus 21 bisnietos.

Precediendo a Joaquina en la muerte están su esposo: Juan Corporán Ceballos; hijo: Danilo Corporán, e hija: Arelis Corporán.

Joaquina Robles Corporán, 93, of Brentwood, New York passed away peacefully on June 2, 2023, in her home surrounded by loving family.

Joaquina was born on August 21, 1929, in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, the eldest daughter of Cristobal Robles Reinoso and Elisa Ciprian de Jesus. At the tender age of 11, Joaquina’s mother passed away and she raised her five brothers and sisters alongside her father. She took to this responsibility dutifully and became a lifelong maternal presence for her siblings.

In 1947, Joaquina married Juan María Corporán Ceballos, and together they had 14 children. Joaquina and Juan lived happily together until his unexpected death in 1981. In 1984, Joaquina migrated to Brentwood, New York, in the United States of America, with the help of her eldest daughter Angela who had migrated years prior. Joaquina worked tirelessly to facilitate the migration of all her children to New York.

Since 1994, Joaquina was a devout member of the Ebenezer Christian Church and rarely missed a service. Her strength came from her deep commitment to God and her belief in the power of prayer. She worked at Renco Electronics in Deer Park, New York until her retirement at age 62.

Joaquina was the beloved matriarch of the Corporán Robles family. She was an honest, dynamic, generous, and strong woman. Her love towards her family was unconditional and limitless, spanning multiple generations. She loved to read the Bible, do missionary work, knit, and play cards with her grandchildren. Joaquina was known for her compassion for others, her display of love through cooking for her family, her love of the Yankees, and her humor. Joaquina was the sun that her family orbited around. In her final days, Joaquina expressed gratitude to her family and friends for the time spent together and for keeping her in their prayers.

Remaining to cherish Joaquina’s memory are her 12 children, including Angela Martinez, Maria-A-Corporán, Cruz Maria Ripoll, Mariano Corporán, Lucrecia Gonzalez, Virgilio Corporán, Isabel Fogarty, Magdalena Gonzalez, Martires Corporán, Melquiades Puesan, Juan F. Corporán, and Francisca Corporán; her younger brother Francisco Robles, her 37 grandchildren, and her 21 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Joaquina in death are spouse: Juan Corporán Ceballos; son: Danilo Corporán, and daughter: Arelis Corporán.
