Jennifer (Jenn) Grace Stannish of Islip Terrace passed away unexpectedly on Sunday November 29, 2021 at the age of 35.

Jenn is survived by her husband Paul Stannish, daughter Emily Stannish, father John Slaney (Kathy), and sister Terri Burgrabe (Dax), as well as a brother in law, step sister, niece, nephew, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother Virginia Slaney, aunt Judy Costigan, cousin Michael Costigan, cousin Marlo Reich, grandmother Grace Saner, and grandfather Vincent Saner.

Born May 22, 1986, Jenn was raised in Brentwood, NY by her loving parents, John and Virginia Slaney. She graduated from Brentwood Highschool and had recently earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University this past year. This major accomplishment in her life was achieved while raising a family and working a full time job at Home Depot, where she was beloved by her coworkers. She was very passionate about all things Disney, especially the movie “Lilo & Stitch” and it’s message about the importance of family.

Jenn was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and a cherished friend to many. She shared her kind spirit by always putting others before herself and lifting people up. Those fortunate enough to be close to her never had to wonder how much she cared. But above all else, her greatest joy in life was being Emily’s mother.

Throughout her life Jenn touched and enriched the lives of many and she will be deeply missed by those she is leaving behind.

Monday December 6, 2021 2:00-4:00pm and  7:00-9:00pm at Moloney Funeral Home 130 Carleton Avenue in Central Islip, NY 11722.

Tuesday December 7, 2021 9:30am at St. Peter the Apostle Church located at 70 Rockaway St in Islip Terrace, NY 11752.
Burial will follow at Bohemia Union Cemetery at 926 Church St in Bohemia, NY 11716.
