I’ve heard so many stories of Jay, the last few days. The words I heard as people described him were words like: faithful, honest, courageous, integrity, sensitivity, confident, organized, smart... even the word life itself.
Jay was a courageous and kind soul who went the extra mile for those he cared about. Even though Jay’s death was sudden, his impact cannot be contained in a short lifetime. His memory’s will live on with his family, and loved ones.
We will miss you, but we will always remember you with respect, admiration and love!

jay was an incredibly bright human who made me laugh while abroad in Ecuador. He knew how to make those around him feel safe and humored! Helpful and thoughtful I remember helping me learn notions of journalism and how to ask the important questions.
