On the evening of Saturday, February 3, 2024, Jason Pilgrim, adored son and brother, entered eternal rest tragically at the age of 31, surrounded by his immediate family — parents, Mobena and Martin Anthony Pilgrim, and older sister, Jeanine Elena Pilgrim.
Jason was a deeply loved and cherished Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, Friend, Champion, and Inspiration
He was born and raised in Queens, NY, spending the latter half of his life on Long Island, NY. Jason loved the peaceful tranquility of being by the lake.
Jason made an instantaneous impact on everyone he encountered. His charismatic personality and bright sparkling smile lit up any room he entered.
His perseverance and resilience never wavered; no matter the challenges he always found the determination to triumph over any obstacle… maintaining his faith and optimism — his personal motto was “NEVER, never give up!”
Jason was an avid wrestling fanatic, you’d find him on Mondays and Fridays, watching WWE Raw or Smackdown. If Jason challenged you to an arm-wrestling match, beware, because he could take down even the toughest in a matter of seconds with his strong right-hand.
Jason also enjoyed shooting hoops, watching Nascar, Golf, and the Olympics — the majestic figure skating was his absolute favorite.
Jason liked any and all Marvel and DC action movies, his favorite characters were Cyclops and Aquaman — he was our HERO and ‘SUPERMAN’!
Jason loved enhancing his vocabulary, he was stimulated by crossword puzzles, online games, and watching anything on the Game Show Network. His DVR list was full with episodes of 25 Words or Less, America Says, Name that Tune, and Family Feud … the list goes on.
Jason was passionate about listening to music of all genres, singing and dancing. If you were at a party with Jason, dressed in his finest and adorned with all his bling — you were guaranteed to be getting onto the dance floor with him — smiling, laughing, and shaking those hips. He thrived during weekly music classes and frequented ballroom dancing lessons.
Jason had a huge sweet-tooth and a sophisticated eclectic palette when it came to desserts, but his true favorite was anything Cookies and Cream.
When you were with Jason, no need to check the weather forecast or stock market exchanges, he’d let you know daily the chance for precipitation or whether the Dow was UP or DOWN.
Jason was extremely social and outgoing, Mr. Popular thrived being in the spotlight, delighted by many special VIP moments and celebrity meet/greets over the years, while enjoying various community and entertainment events.
Jason cherished his cuddle time with our pile of extra fluffy Shih-tzu pups. He was always full of exuberance and happiness.
Please help us celebrate his life by lighting a candle and sharing a happy story or memory.
