d. November 30, 2022

I am a witness

Irvin was and will always be

A son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a boyfriend and a friend.

A natural and gentle leader, who was never afraid of offering guidance to those he loved when he knew better and he mostly always knew better.

Joelito effortlessly graduated in the top 5 of his class in high school, but could’ve easily finished first had he tried. Naturally intelligent and responsibly studious, even when he didn’t want to be, he completed his associates and had plans to further his certifications and education. A humble human unafraid to listen to advice.

Always dutiful and a caretaker. No one should ever need ask for his help, but he would be right there, especially if someone asked. Even if he was a little annoyed by it.

So reliable. Swirv is the strength and glue for those who knew him. He used to go to parent teacher conferences in school for his brother, Dennis.

And any Black Friday Ali or Abi wanted to shop with no money, Swirv was there to drive them.

He was always there for his mother helping with everything she needed. The second in command when it came to closing and moving gigantic care packages meant for Honduras.

Self dubbed Chef BoyarSwirv, he was clever and loyal.

He worked dedicatedly and diligently with his dad. He was never swayed by early mornings or last minute errands.

Never afraid of life. He would travel anywhere and try anything.

A unique soul and self stated feminist, who always stayed true to himself and his beliefs.

He was a gamer, and maybe took it too seriously but that’s only cause he was good at it. He was fastidious, his room and his belongings in immaculate condition.

He had so many plans for the future and he would’ve accomplished every single goal and more. Anyone who knew him, even those who may have disagreed with him, they would have respect him and have love for him.

A hero and an angel

So unselfish

So much bigger than us.

An inspiration in life and forever with us in our hearts, encouraging us to do more, with love, integrity, and a sense of humor.

A gentle soul survived by many blood family as well as made family. His loving parents, Joel and Liceth, his younger siblings, Dennis and Liceth “Ali”. The woman he had plans of proposing to, Fendi. And his almost sister in law, Athena. The people he grew up with, Dennis, Andrea “Abi” and April. Many tias and tios, primas y primos. And his maternal grandparents. As well as countless friends. And who can forget two crazy pups, Chewy and Teddy.

So loved in life and in death. Rest In Peace Irvin Joel “Swirv” Valle Torres. In our memory and in our hearts forever.
