Gerard Dimonda

Gerard DiMonda, born to Leopold and Philomena DiMonda, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Martha, his children, Phyllis (Robert), Frances, and Denise, and his grandchildren, Lisa (Dan), Robert, Stephen (Amanda), Susan (Keith), Alex (Valentina) and Adam along with his great grandchildren, Jared, Jill, Jake, Gabriella and Gino and his brother Nicholas (Raffaela).

Jerry was a loving, generous, and charismatic man who was always there to lend a helping hand. Known as “Jerry the Butcher,” he worked in the meat industry for over 60 years and was a devoted member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the American Legion.

Jerry proudly served in the Army during the Korean War and was a lifetime resident of the Gravesend Community. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He will live in our hearts forever.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Church in Brooklyn on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s or the Wounded Warrior Project in Jerry’s memory.
