I’m so sorry to lose my good Florida friend. After moving back to Indiana she is the only person that kept in contact with me. When I lost Gary I was devastated and she called me often. Geri, give Gary a big hug and tell him I miss him everyday. Love you ❤️

Aunt Gerri was a such barrel of laughs. We had so much fun with her growing up, especially all the parties at her house. We loved to go to Fire Island to clam and catch blow fish. I'm sure that she is making the best zucchini and eggs in heaven. She surely will be missed.

My Aunt was loved by so many, and her passing has left us all a little lost. She had the best sense of humor she called and said “Hey Kid, it’s your crazy Aunt Gerri” and laugh, she always had a joke to tell or a funny story. I remember one story she told me when she was driving her bus on Halloween, she naturally had a mask to make the best of the holiday. She decided to go into a bank with her mask on to scare some of the tellers she knew and well….She realized after entering the bank that it was probably not the best idea to enter a bank with a mask on as folks might think they were getting robbed! Aunt Gerri was the best cook; you always enjoyed eating at her house, she made the best food and always shared her recipes. She was always there for me in so many ways including teaching me how to drive and taking me for my road test, and taking me to all the best garage sale to help me furnish my first apartment. The boat rides weather on Long Island heading to Fire Island or in Florida where we’d ride to a great restaurant on the water to have some excellent seafood and drinks are some of the many wonderful memories I have of my Aunt. Aunt Gerri also enjoyed music and dancing and boy could she dance whether at a yacht club event or a wedding she’d kick off her shoes and just dance. When my daughters were little Aunt Gerri was always there with her camcorder taking videos of birthdays, christenings, and school functions. For Christmas she would always get my daughters matching pajamas as a gift; I’m happy to say that my children still carry on the tradition and always go shopping in December for matching pajamas to wear Christmas morning I’ve been blessed with so many wonderful memories that I will always cherish.

I will always be thankful for Geri and Michael for carting a lighthouse from Florida to my house in Farmingville and a painting from Lake George. That was more than 25 yrs ago. I still have both. She always did nice things like that. I will miss her great sense of humor!

Our deepest condolences to you and your family. I am so glad that we met your Mom last summer. We had such a nice time having drinks and dinner at your house. I will always think of her when I cook with Locatelli. Thank you, Gerry, for introducing me to that great cheese. Rest in peace and have a cheeseburger in paradise with Jimmy!
