We have lost a very special piece of our family. Ella Santoro, age 97, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, and nothing meant more to her than her family.
Ella was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 22,1925 to Dominic and Caroline Villano. She is survived by her son, Richard Santoro; her two granddaughters, Michelle (Gregg) Koch and Denise (Damien) Mauceri; and her four great-grandchildren, Alex, Kevin, Julianne, and Nicholas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Santoro.
Ella was a warm and loving person who always brought joy to those around her. She enjoyed cooking, playing lotto, and taking care of her house, but nothing made her happier than knowing that a holiday or event was coming up that she would spend with her family. She was always present at the most important moments in our lives. While we feel blessed that we had so much time together, it just never seems like enough. We find peace in knowing that she is reunited with the love of her life after being apart for almost 31 years.
Ella was such a big part of our lives and we will always cherish the memories we share. She will be forever in our hearts.
