Elaine and I shared many times together, with others and alone, during many years and across many places. They were filled with spirited adventure, fun and laughs, serious talks, all of life’s good stuff, which live as my memories. Elaine, I will always miss you.

Elaine was a great gal. Smart, determined and all heart when needed. I enjoyed the time I spent with her on the ski trips. Blessings to Elaine's family, and I will always remember her. Rest easy, Elaine.

Karen Sekulski “Qaren” left a message on March 29, 2023:
Elaine was such a big part of my childhood. Brian too. Elaine was like my aunt or older sister. My mom would watch Brian during the week and Elaine would take my sister and I to the beach on the weekends with her and Brian. Their house and yard were ours and ours was theirs. A day in the snow meant hot chocolate at either or both homes. Our cat became theirs when we moved. Elaine’s Christmas card was the first I received every year up until this past Christmas. Such love was exchanged over the years. I missed Elaine over the years since we moved away but I will always have such fond memories of her. Until we meet again. “God helps those who help themselves.” -you told me this Elaine. I have repeated it to myself many times and I will think of you whenever I say it. Love you!!!
Ronnie Levy left a message on March 29, 2023:
Rest in peace Mrs. Sullivan. I've ridden many, many bike miles with Elaine since the mid 1990's and cross country skied with her for many years. She was a vibrant, positive and humorous friend. We each had two granddaughters about the same ages, so we frequently shared stories and pictures. Elaine, you have touched my heart and soul and will never be forgotten.
Andrea Hay-Watson left a message on March 29, 2023:
A "spitfire" adequately describes Elaine. As a manager, she demanded a lot and this forced me to rise to her expectations thus making me a better auditor, for which I am grateful. We had a mutual respect for each other, and I am saddened to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences to her family. May she rest in peace and rise in glory!
Pamela Wolf left a message on March 29, 2023:
I met Elaine in the Suffolk DO days and used to love to hear her stories of travel and biking. Personally, she helped me to make an important career decision too. Gone way too soon; she will be missed.
David Rothschild left a message on March 29, 2023:
I met Elaine from our merger of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Sales Tax offices. Although I did not work closely with Elaine, she was very kind to me. She gave me a gift for my daughter after she was born. I did learn a lot from Elaine from our training classes. I will always appreciate her help and friendship. Godspeed and sincerest condolences to her family.
Josephine & Robert Goykin left a message on March 29, 2023:
We're heartbroken to hear this...Elaine & 2 other D riders, were the original 1st century training riders! Smart, tough & beautiful woman!
Rolande & Brian Catchpaugh left a message on March 29, 2023:
Please accept our sympathies. Elaine was an intrepid cross country skier whom we met in 2003. We always enjoyed sharing the trails with her. She was absolutely delighted with her 2 grand babies and always shared photos of them with us at Christmas. She had a determined, fighting spirit which we appreciated.
