Ed was one of a great group of gym pals where I got to see him almost every day. His soft spoken voice brought us a sense of calm. May he rest peacefully

To the family and friends of our dear departed friend and colleague Ed Walsh; such sad news.
During my time in the States, Ed was for me a real stalwart in the organisation, someone you could rely upon, with excellent ideas for promoting SAS Cargo and a real team player. My sincerest commiserations go to his family and all that knew him; our SAS Family has just become poorer for his passing; Best Wishes Howard Jones.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
After one of the first practice sessions for the newly formed SFP kayak club I was sitting on the subway and Ed came along and sat next to me and introduced himself. We became lifelong friends. We were 15 years old. We won National Championships together. We sold T-Shirts together. He was my Best Man. My mother worked at SAS and heard of an opening, Ed applied and got the job. We didn't live close but always talked on the phone. The gift we shared the most was laughter. For 57 years we laughed. Boy did we laugh.
My Heartfelt Condolences to the Walsh Family for Your Loss…
I always seem to run into Ed at the various Airport Golf Outings or other functions and he was Always a Gentleman.
May He Rest in Eternal Peace and May All the Memories that You created over the years, carry you through this most difficult of times!

Dad,
If I could count every grain of sand on the beach there wouldn’t be enough to represent the love I have for you.
Thank you for being the best dad I could have ever asked for, I will always be your little babydoll. I’ll take your compassion, warm heart and smile with me everywhere I go. I love you so much and I will never forget you. As we would always say “see you later alligator” “in awhile crocodile”. ❤️️

Dear Sue and family,
Our hearts go out to you and your family at this difficult time.
We are deeply saddened to hear of Ed's passing. We have so many pleasant
memories of Ed as a valued colleague and a dear friend. You will be missed.
Love

Ed was a paddler at Sebago Canoe Club and a student at St Francis Prep school. He was at least 4 or 5 years older than me and he was paddling during summers when in college and after graduation at nights after work. Ed was the older brother to many of us who did not have one or whose older brothers were distant or not as nice. He enjoyed palling and horsing around with the younger many paddlers and was never rough or mean. Ed drove an old Dodge Dart and would frequently provide lifts for paddlers despite the time, effort and expense. We all gathered around him when he was there to hear his wit and hopefully learn how to be as cool as he was. Ed did work hard as a paddler to gain proficiency, strength and speed. We respected his work effort but most of all him. Lastly I remembered no girlfriend at any dinner dance or mention of one until he met Sue. And I was glad that this wonderful guy we all cared so much for would have this Sue as a companion and soul mate, Amen.

I have such fond memories of Ed with his infectious smile that made everyone feel at ease. Our times together at the Prep and paddling together during the early years with the Prep and Sebago Canoe Club are cherished memories that will not fade the passage of time.
Dad,
I am so grateful for the life and childhood you created for me, all the time we spent together and the memories I have of you. I will never forget you! You are not suffering anymore with this horrible disease. You were the greatest husband to Mom, the greatest father and poppa to the girls, and loved by everyone who knew you. You were truly the most selfless, kindhearted and best father I could have ever asked for!
Dad you will forever be my hero, and the greatest man I have ever known. I love you so much Dad, rest in Heaven. Until we meet again.

Dear Sue and family,
We are devastated by the sad news of Ed's passing. Ed was not only a colleague who gave me tons of support in a new job, but, more importantly a dear friend. We shared many happy - and difficult - moments together and Ed will be truly missed by me and my wife Anissa. Our thoughts go out to you at this time of your loss. Henric and Anissa Nauckhoff

To Sue and your entire family, I'm so sorry to hear about Ed's passing. We crossed paths years ago and both of you were so gracious to help my sister with information that you had gained. Ed came to my husband Danny's golf outing so often and each time I saw him he was so kind and warm. The one thing I have learned along the way is that love never fades. I hope you find strength and comfort in the memories and love of your family.
Ed, we will miss your presence. You were a wonderful friend and great teammate. Our lives were enriched by knowing you. Always my senior, I am counting on you once again to scope out the next phase of life.
Until we meet again,
Hap
