Edward J. Kohout, age 90, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Margaret, and their three daughters, Laura George (Dave), Monica Kohout (Ronnie Mangin), and Julia Cockrum (Gordon). Edward was a proud grandfather of William Warwick, Evan George, and Erica George, as well as great-grandfather of Carol Warwick and Jack Beyer.

Edward was a man of deep faith and a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Church in Smithtown,New York. He was also an avid fan of the New York Mets and the New York Islanders, and loved nothing more than cheering on his favorite teams.

A memorial service to celebrate Edward’s life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 5-7 pm at the Mother Teresa Tribute Center in Lake Ronkonkoma. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember Edward, to share memories and offer support to one another during this time.

Edward was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his love, wisdom, and spirit will live on in the memories of those he loved.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital. May he rest in peace.
