Edith Daly Tirpak

Edith “Edie” Daly Tirpak was a fun loving, high energy, free spirit, whirlwind, world traveler, trailblazer, conversationalist, FUN, spontaneous, vibrant soul, with an infectious smile. Beyond all that she was a mom, a grandmother and a friend to many. She left us unexpectedly on July 8th, 2022, at the age of 83.
Edie was born in the Bronx to Lawrence and Edith Daly. After completing High School, she attended St John’s University the first year that it was co-ed. She married Eugene J. Tirpak Jr and moved to Port Jeff Station. Edie went on to teach English at Newfield HS for 33 years and then College at St Anthony’s and Stony Brook University, also earning multiple graduate degrees along the way.
Edie is survived by: Her son Erik (Kathy), her grandsons Kyle (Brett) and Kody.
Her son Edward (Penny) and grandsons, Kevin, Keith, and Thomas.
Edie always said, “I am living my best life”, and now she is off to her next adventure!
