Diane F. Leibel

Diane F. Leibel of Commack, New York, passed away on February 10, 2018, in her 71st year. Loving daughter of the late Anthony and Frances Miscavage. Devoted sister of the late Virginia Ritterbush. Cherished Aunt of the late Carolyn Sleight. She is survived by her loving Sister, Genevieve Snyder, her Nieces, Elizabeth Pagano and Anita DiNella, and her Nephew Bill Snyder. Grand Aunt of Michael Pagano, Brittany Saccente, Jonathan Pagano, Taylor Snyder, Anthony P., Gabriella DiNella and the Great Aunt of Jace and Noah Saccente.
Diane was born on September 1, 1946 and graduated from Great Neck High School. In 1968, she married John (Jack) Leibel to whom she remained married for 25 years. Diane had an impressive career with the Suffolk County Executive’s Office as a Loan Officer in the Community and Development Department that provides down payment assistance to low and moderate income earners. She also represented the Suffolk County Executive in the presentation of Eagle Scout Awards to many recipients. Diane was very active in the Folk Music Society of Huntington and was well-known for her many charitable acts, her gracious hospitality, her love of Elvis, and her devotion to her family. Diane will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Reposing at Moloney’s Hauppauge Funeral Home, Hauppauge, New York. Visitation is Wednesday, February 14, 2018, 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. Funeral Mass Thursday, February 15, 2018, 10:30AM at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, Great Neck, New York. Interment following at Nassau Knolls, Port Washington, New York. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Diane’s life.
