Lisa and Bill Katz left a message on December 9, 2022:
I’m just seeing this sad news now since I’ve been exchanging Christmas cards with Connie since the 1980s and when I didn’t receive hers promptly after Thanksgiving I knew something was wrong. What a special lady Connie was! Thoughtful, caring generous, it was a joy to know her! We met when my husband and I owned the card store in the Centereach Mall and she was a frequent shopper stopping in to browse and chat - and how we enjoyed seeing her. She lovingly picked out the dove shaped bridal shower invitations for her daughter and she was so excited and happy. She was always so kind and joined in the joy when our kids were born and she shared all the proud and happy moments of her family. We’ve exchanged cards every year not only at Christmas but when she wasn’t well and I moved, we shared in each other’s lives and she touched mine so deeply. Such a sad thing to hear and how I will miss those cherished cards from special Connie.
