Alice M. Lockwood

Alice M. Lockwood, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Champlain, NY. Alice was born on February 25, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late John and Eva Sebukaty. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Lockwood.

Alice was a devoted mother to her three children: Allisn Blain (Sam), Liz Brady (Dan), and Gary Lockwood (Joan). She was also a proud grandmother to Johanna O’Connor, Samantha Blain, Shana Manor (the late Jim), Jessica Lewis (Ehren), Bridgette Montesanto (Joe), Liz Hoolan (Jason), Sean Gabrell (Maria), Heather Morris (Joe), Andrew Gabrell, and Jess Westermann Rooney (Jess). Alice was blessed with seventeen great-grandchildren, whom she adored: Emily, Ethan, Ciara, Dalyce, Hannah, Owen, Joe, Matt, Kaela, Jake, Sean, Ava, Sophia, Joseph, Jack, Asa and Frankie. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Alice’s family will receive friends and loved ones at Moloney’s Lake Funeral Home on Monday, March 6, from 4 pm to 8 pm, with a wake service at 6 pm officiated by Father Mickey. Her funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace in West Babylon on Tuesday, March 7, at 10 am. Following the mass, Alice will be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village.

Alice will be remembered for her kind heart, warm smile, and gentle spirit. She had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Her legacy will live on through the memories shared by those who loved her.
