Virginia B. Ore

Virginia Ore, 88, of Sayville, New York, died peacefully in her sleep on the morning of November 15, 2017. Born Virginia Barton in 1928 in Brooklyn, NY in a blue room in her grandmother’s brownstone to Jessie H. Barton and Constance L. Benedetto, Virginia went on to be a wonderful wife, mother, cook, chef, storyteller and mischief-maker, all the while being a wonderful disciple of God. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jessie Barton, her former husband Walter C. Ore, and her beloved son Brian C. Ore. Her legacy, intelligence, vision, storytelling and humor will live on through her children Matthew T. Ore, Tracy E. Ore, and Russell A. Ore. A service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, November 19 from 2:00 – 4:00 at Moloney’s Bohemia Funeral Home, 1320 Lakeland Avenue, Bohemia, New York 11716.
