Victoria Anne Sweet

d. June 7, 2024

Commack

We sympathetically announce Victoria Anne Sweet, daughter of George and Peg Wheatley, peacefully passed away in the comfort of her family on June 7th. Born on March 1, 1955, in Rome, NY, Vicki, known to her loved ones as "Mimi," was a very generous, loving, and supportive mother and grandmother who always spoke of, and wanted the best for, her daughter and family.

Vicki was also an accomplished mortgage broker who dedicated her career to helping families find their ideal homes while building lasting friendships in the process.

At a young age, Vicki moved to Plainview with her mother, father and brother, where she attended school and participated in girl scouts. She earned her Bachelor's in business from CW Post and used her degree to navigate her way in real estate while breaking glass ceilings in what was a primarily male-dominated field.

Outside of work, Vicki found joy in spending quality time with her family, indulging in her passion for cooking and canning, playing golf, and exploring farmstands "out east" for fresh produce. She also enjoyed playing backgammon with the best backgammon player on Long Island. She took great pride in her appearance, always ensuring her nails and hair were perfectly styled. She was just as meticulous about her teeth, carrying a toothbrush and floss everywhere. Loving memories always included incredible laughter and good times.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Tabitha Vought, son-in-love Christopher Vought, grandsons Andrew Vought, Zachary Vought and Ian Vought, partner Bill Treuber, and brother, James (Susan) Wheatley. Vicki was preceded in death by her grandson Nicholas Vought.

The family has entrusted the caring professionals at Moloney's Funeral Home in Hauppauge with the funeral arrangements. Vicki will be laid to rest in Countryside Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida, alongside her mother and grandson.

There is not a moment in the days going forward that Vicki will not be missed.
