Thomas M. Walz

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing Thomas Mitchell Walz of Nesconset, NY at the age of 62, on October 14th, 2024. Husband of the late Margaret Olive Lindsay Walz.

Thomas is survived by his loving daughter Angela Rose Jean Walz, mother Mary Ellen Walz, brother John (Lorraine) Walz and sister Cathleen (Charles) Horn. He is an uncle of 5 nieces and nephews and grand uncle of 8. Thomas was also predeceased by his father William J. Walz.

Thomas was born January 4th, 1962 in Smithtown NY and grew up in Ronkonkoma. He was a member of the Lakeland Junior Fire Department, graduate of Connetquot High School and Southeastern Academy. After working 6 years in the field of travel, he embarked on a career in metalworking. He spent many years providing for his family, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to his craft.

He possessed a compassionate heart, always offering to help others, while enjoying the simple things in life. He had a broad knowledge of historical and geographical history which he enjoyed discussing. His passions included life in the outdoors, fishing, visiting the Beaverkill Bridge and Roscoe NY where many great memories were formed. Fan of the NY Mets and occasional trips to Atlantic City.

Thomas is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Margaret. They shared 33 wonderful years of marriage filled with love and companionship.

He will be deeply missed by all who know and love him.
