Thomas Sheldrick

On the morning of Wednesday, May 17, 2023, Thomas Joseph Sheldrick of Coram, NY passed away at St. James Rehabilitation Center at the age of 55.
He will forever be remembered as the beloved son of Joseph and Janet, a devoted and caring brother to Joseph, John, Mary, and James, brother-in-law to Susan and Ed, proud uncle to Lydia, Janette, Sarah, Joseph, and John, and great-uncle to Evelyn.
A miracle life by any definition, Tom was born disabled, but beat all odds and overcame incredible obstacles to achieve an independent life, even earning a college degree in paralegal studies. His passion for the law was rivaled only by his lifelong passion and unwavering dedication to the New York Mets. A crossword puzzle aficionado and Scrabble master, his sociable and friendly manner earned him friends among the staff at St James Rehab Center where he resided in his final years. Empathetic to others and fiercely loyal to those he loved; we were all changed for the better by knowing him.
Services to be held on Sunday, 5/21 and Monday, 5/22 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Moloney’s Funeral Home, 132 Ronkonkoma Ave. Funeral mass to be held on Tuesday, 5/23 at 10am at St Joseph’s Church in Ronkonkoma followed by the burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram.
Donations to the Spina Bifida Organization in his memory are welcome.
