Steven Alexandrou, 72, formerly of Holtsville, New York, residing in Apollo Beach, FL, passed
away on February 8th, 2022. He was surrounded by his wife and four children before being
handed off to God. Steve was born on January 15th, 1950, in Piraeus, Greece, to the late
Vasilios and Argyro Alexandrou. Steve, considered “One GIANT of a man,” was a double lung
transplant survivor. He was the strongest and bravest man to all who knew him, a true Greek
Warrior. Anyone who knew Steve was touched by his kindness, humor, and love for New York
sports teams. He enjoyed having spirited conversations about the New York Giants and the New
York Yankees and was lucky to see these teams win many championships. Steve’s empathy
towards others could be seen by his willingness to lend a helping hand, a trait that lives on in
both his children and grandchildren.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Lisa, four children Kathleen Klein and her husband David,
Steven Alexandrou and his wife Karey, Jason, Joseph, and seven grandchildren. He was known
to his grandchildren as “Papou.” Steve’s grandchildren were his heart and joy. He shared
stories of growing up in Greece and taught them many important life lessons. In his golden
years, Steve enjoyed hosting his family on the beautiful beaches of Florida.
