Stephen Paul Tychnowitz, 81, went to his heavenly rest on March 17, 2025. A resident of Holbrook NY for 37 years, Stephen was born and raised on the lower East side of Manhattan, until his family moved to Laurelton. After his marriage to Susan, they lived in Bayside for 8 years until they moved to Holbrook on Long Island.
Stephen was a man of faith. His church, and life around it, was important to him. During his life, when not at work, he could be found on the soccer field or a Boy Scout meeting with his children, to whom he dedicated his life. He was also a history buff, a model train enthusiast, and loved to play dominoes with his friends.
Stephen was a loving husband to his wife of 45 years, Susan (nee Griffiths), a devoted father to his four children: Christopher (Shannon), James (Janelle), Mary Nelson (Seamus), and Andrew. He adored his six grandchildren: Emma, Savannah, Luke, Bernadette, Eleanor and Jacob.
Preceded in death by his father Walter, his mother Nancy, and his brother Andrew.
He will be missed by many.
Eternal memory!
