Starr Maynard, 77, passed away on February 23, 2025, in Ronkonkoma, New York. Born on May 8, 1947, in Flushing, New York, Starr lived a life marked by dedication to her work, her family, and her community.
For nearly 60 years, Starr built a career in the printing industry, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to her profession. Beyond her work, she devoted time to volunteering at a suicide hotline, offering support and compassion to those in need. Her kindness and generosity extended far beyond her professional life—she was known as a thoughtful, loving, and caring person who would do anything for her family and friends.
Starr was a beloved sister to her surviving brother John and Brother-in-law Bob was predeceased by her sister Wendy and brother Duff. She was also a cherished aunt to Bobby, Robin, Lena, and Laura. Her warmth and devotion to family were evident in the deep bonds she shared with them.
In addition to her professional and family life, Starr found joy and camaraderie as a member of the Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps. Through this passion, she formed many lifelong friendships that enriched her journey.
Family and friends are invited to honor Starr’s memory at visitations on March 30, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Moloney Funeral Home, located at 840 Wheeler Road (Route 111), Hauppauge, New York. A funeral service will be held on March 31, 2025, at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, New York, beginning at 11:00 AM.
Starr’s kindness and selflessness left an indelible mark on those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
