Speranza Giglio, Beloved mother to Donna (James) Strickland and preceded in death to Michele (Joseph) Giunta, Grandmother to Gina (Joe) Tornabe & Kristen (Robert) Hachemeister, Alexa (Tyler) Ruggiero & Nicholas Strickland, Great grandmother to Giuliana, Nina, Joey, Jonathan & Cole, Sister to Surviving siblings Rose (the late Michael) Mclaughlin, Louise Speziale and sister-in-law Joan (wife to the late Tito). preceded in death by Michael & Molly DeVivo, Mary DeVivo, John & Catherine DeVivo, Josephine DeVivo, Janet DeVivo, Anna & Anthony LaGanga and Tito DeVivo . Speranza passed peacefully on October 21, 2024, with her Daughter by her side.

Speranza was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent the majority of her life living on Long Island, NY. She was a talented seamstress and loved to make beautiful valances and drapes for Frank's Decorating and her family members. She was very successful in her life despite only achieving a middle school education. Speranza always made sure her family was taken care of. She will greatly be missed and the memories of her and those with her will live on forever with all of us.
