On Mother’s Day, 5/14/2023, Rose Marie Tracey (née McIntee), passed away surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was a loving mother to Patrick, Tara, and Brian and a beloved grandmother to Thomas, Sean, and Paddy. Born in the Bronx to Leo and Rose McIntee, she was predeceased by her older sister Mary, her younger brother Leo, and her identical twin Loretta. Rose lived her life, guided by her strong Catholic faith, which led her to be a Eucharistic minister at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Holbrook. She had a strong love of her family and children, her friends, her cats, Mallomars, sweets, Judge Judy, reading, gardening, music, Irish Coffee, bland food, and laughter. Rose was a Postal Carrier in Smithtown for many years, before retiring and working at Sachem Public Library. She loved her time playing the drums in the Northport Pipe and Drum Band, until bad knees no longer allowed her to march. She was fiercely independent and loyal. She was friends with so many people who truly loved her and she will be missed by all who knew her. The world was a better place with her in it. May she rest in peace. We love you, Mom
