Our Rosanna was beautiful inside and out. She was blessed with two loving parents, Margaret and Salvatore Carlino; both of whom are with the Lord. Rosanna has one younger sibling, Ida, who was as close to her as any sister could be, checking in and talking every day as they both went to work. They loved walking at Avalon, always smiling and laughing together.
Robert, her husband, met Rosanna on a blind date in 1981. They have been inseparable ever since. They have gone through life with the Lord Jesus as their rock. Always loving Jesus together in their lives. Rob rarely called Rosanna by “Rosanna” but rather “Princess”, “Beautiful”, “Angel”, “Pretty” because all these words truly describe her. Rob and Rosanna loved to take walks together, enjoyed parks, nature and traveling.
Rob and Rosanna have been blessed with two sons, Robbie (age 25) and Thomas (age 23). Rosanna had a profound godly influence on her boys. She was the best mother any child could possibly ask for. They loved traveling together as a family. Many trips to Disney World, a recent trip to Japan to visit Robbie and most recently a trip to Arizona with Rob and Thomas. Rosanna was so happy she got to see the Grand Canyon.
Rosanna also leaves behind many cherished extended family members including her nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and cousins. She will especially be missed by her brother-in-law, John, her nephews Carlo and Matthew and niece Christina who live close by and spent many times together.
Rosanna worked as a teacher’s assistant to her good friend Matt Watkins at Stagecoach Elementary School in Selden. She really cared about the kids and talked about them, as she would, as if they were her own. Rosanna’s most cherished desire was to see her children grow into godly men and to pray for all school children throughout Long Island.
As part of Mom’s in Prayer, Rosanna served as the Suffolk County coordinator. She would meet multiple times with women during the week to pray for Long Island schools. Rosanna coordinated prayer drives, praying in front of schools across Suffolk County. Rosanna also loved being a Sunday school teacher. She had a gift of being able to make the lessons fun while also making sure her kids learned God’s word.
Rosanna cherished her relationship with Christ. She loved to talk to Jesus, worship Him, praise Him and pray constantly throughout the day. God blessed her with the gift of encouragement which she used to point others to learn of God’s truth through the reading of the Bible.
We are comforted knowing that Rosanna is alive in Christ living in paradise with the God she prayed to fervently every day.
