Rosalie Grace Carollo

Rosalie Grace Carollo (nee Ferraro) age 99, passed away on August 16, 2024 in Roseville, CA. Born on November 27, 1924 in San Jose, CA she lived along and fulfilling life. Rosalie is survived by her son, John (Debra), her grandchildren Marisa (Sean), John (Meredith) and four great granddaughters; Isabella, Alexandra, Emilia and Eloisa. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Rosalie resided in Brooklyn, NY from the ages of 2 to 86. She lost her husband when she was 35 and diligently worked to provide a life for her and her 9 year old son. She created a 25 year career (sewing her own business suits, etc.) with Continental Insurance rising to department supervisor. When she retired, she traveled around the world and journaled the sights, sounds and foods she enjoyed and experienced. Her travels inspired her to paint and she took watercolor classes to refine and enhance her art.

Family was her priority caring for her widowed, aged father in the last years of his life and helping others whenever she was needed. At 86, she left life in NY to move to CA to be with her son and become part of her great grandchildren's lives. She was undaunted by the move and faced it with strength and courage.

Mom also was someone who loved to have a good time and, if there was an opportunity to dance, she took it. She amazed guests at her grandson's wedding with her energy and dance moves at 94.

Truly hers was a life well lived buoyed by faith in God, love of family and joy of life. She will be greatly missed.
