Ronald P. Mckeon

Ronald Peter McKeon of Summerfield, Florida formerly of Queens, New York peacefully passed away on December 4, 2021, at 85 years of age. He will be reunited with his wife, the love of his life, Agnes who went home to the Lord a little over a year ago. Father of John, the late Laura, Cheryl, Donna, Deborah, Jennifer, Eleanor, Susan, and Ronnie. Grandfather of Walter, Quinlan, Jason, Daniel, Ashley, Samantha, and Martin. Great-Grandfather to David, Max, and Zander. Father-in-law of Walter, John, Dorianne and Martin. Loving brother of the late Edward McKeon. Ronnie has predeceased his sisters, Eileen, Patricia, and Audrey. Ronnie was a true animal lover and will be greatly missed by all the family pets especially, Snowball and Boots, as well as many family members and friends.

Ronnie had a great pride of his heritage and love for his country. He enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserves in 1954, proudly serving his country for 8 years, being honorably discharged in 1962.

Ronnie enjoyed history documentaries and John Wayne movies especially, The Quiet Man. He loved to laugh and was an avid cartoon watcher. At any given time, you could find him watching Bugs Bunny, Darkwing Duck or Tom and Jerry, eating his Reese’s Pieces. He was an ardent fan of Peter Sellers and the Pink Panther movies, literally laughing so hard tears would stream down his face.

Ronnie had an exceptional work ethic and worked for Green Bus Lines as a mechanic before retiring and moving to Florida. He was a very skilled handy man, always fixing or building something around the house or lending a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors.

The family invites you to join them at Moloney-Sinnicksons Funeral Home located at 203 Main Street, Center Moriches, NY. Services will be held on Thursday, December 9th, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 25 Ocean Avenue, Center Moriches, NY at 10:45 a.m. Interment following at Washington Memorial Park, Mt. Sinai, NY.
