Robert W. Schultz

Robert (Bob) W. Schultz, 70, of Middle Island, NY, passed away on October 2, 2023. He was born on April 26, 1953. Bob will be remembered as a loving father and a friend to all.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Jami Schultz and her partner Savio Pham, and Wendy Harlow, her husband Daniel, and their two children, Caleb and Owen, as well as his younger sister Donna and his longtime companion Carol Winters. He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother.

In his younger days, Bob was known for his athleticism and was the life of the party. He was always supportive of his two daughters, often embarrassing them with the loudest whistles and cheers at major events. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, creativity, his enthusiastic cheering at early morning soccer and volleyball games, his incredibly loud sneezes, and a bright smile that lit up his entire face.

Jami will always remember her dad chasing after her in a brown leather jacket while she sped away down the street after he taught her to ride a two-wheeler bike. Wendy will never forget the experience of attending her first Bruce Springsteen concert with her dad with floor seats at Shea Stadium in October 2003. Both girls have their dad to thank for their life-long enjoyment of the X-Files television show and will never forget how he would inevitably fall asleep on the couch watching any sports game, then deny that he was asleep (despite his loud snores!). Caleb and Owen will miss the giant hugs their “Gramps” gave them every time they visited.

A burial service will be held at Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Mount Sinai on Friday, October 6, at 12:45pm to honor Bob’s memory and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National MS Society in honor of Bob’s memory.

Bob Schultz will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever be cherished.
