Regina Borelli

d. January 12, 2025

Regina Lee Borelli, nee Tanner, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025 at the age of 81. Born on February 23, 1943, in the Bronx, NY, Regina was the cherished daughter of Theodore and Edith Tanner. She is preceded in death by her devoted parents, her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Salvatore, and her siblings—sisters Carol, Jacqueline, Teresa, Patricia, and her brother Theodore.

Regina's life was a tapestry woven with love and kindness. She was known for her generous heart that touched not only her family but also strangers, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. With her beautiful blonde hair and striking blue eyes, Regina was a radiant presence, embodying both outer beauty and inner warmth. Her ability to engage everyone in conversation, always with a smile and a kind word, made her a beacon of light in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

In the Bronx, Regina met and married her husband, Salvatore. They later moved to Holstville where they created a loving home raising four children: Vincent, Christine, Jacqueline, and Dana. Regina nurtured her family with the same love and dedication she had always shown.

She was not just a mother; she was a pillar of strength and wisdom, imparting life lessons to her children and grandchildren, who adored her. Regina is survived by her son Vincent Borelli (Lisa), daughters Christine Murphy (Steven) Jacqueline Sapienza (Paul) and Dana Civitanova (Mark) and her grandchildren—Michael, Lauren, Danielle, Julianne, Paige, Kayla, Zachary, Jenna, Ava —and her great grandson Greyson. Her sister Linda also survives her, and together they shared a bond that endured the tests of time.

Regina's impact on her family and community will be felt for years to come. She had a unique way of making everyone feel special, of genuinely caring for their well-being, and her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved her.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Regina's life at Moloney’s Funeral Home in Holbrook on January 15, 2025. As we gather to honor her memory, let us remember her generous spirit and the love she shared with us all.

Rest in peace, Regina. Your legacy of kindness and love will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to have known you.
