Philomena C. Vigliotta

Vigliotta, Philomena C. of Center Moriches, NY on February 6th, 2018 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Ernest: Loving mother of Maria, John, Paul, Joan, Margaret, Angela, and Theresa. Cherished Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Born in Dublin, Ireland Philomena held on to the wonderful Irish traditions she had grown up in. She would often entertain family and friends with Irish songs and lullabies along with treating all to tasty Irish scones, soda bread and fruit tarts.

Philomena was very active at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church and was instrumental in the opening of the Catholic School. Philomena has been involved in many church related activities, and held the position of music director for over forty years. “May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand”
