Patricia Giresi

Born on March 23, 1954 in Hollis Queens, Patricia “Pat” Giresi (nee Messner), passed away peacefully surrounded by family and her dog, Jewel in her home in Shirley on May 16, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, Malcom and Virginia Messner, siblings John William and Christopher Gerard Messner, and grandson Dylan.  She leaves behind her devoted husband of 42 years, Antonino Giresi, cherished children Patrick (Marty), Matthew (Liz), Tony (Jill) and Melissa, and beloved grandchildren, Isabella, Grayson, Joseph and Mikayla.  Her family is comforted by her brother Tom Messner (Terry), her nephew Zachary (Jenny), her first husband, Duncan Sinclair and friends and family close and distant.
 
 

A 1972 graduate of Island Trees High School in Levittown, New York, she worked at Bell Telephone Company and William Floyd Kindergarten, but her true vocation was caring for dogs including Blue, Queenie, Midnight, Bella, Pretty, Cuddles, Reese, Indy, Simba, Ace, Charlotte, Sassie, Speed, Lucy, Tori and Jewel.
