Olga Mary Lundgren

Olga Mary Lundgren, age 79, of St James, New York, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020. Devoted wife of the late Robert Lundgren, she was married to Bob in Brooklyn, NY on September 7, 1963. Olga is predeceased by her brothers Myron and Harry. She is survived by her loving children, Jason, Laura and her husband Roy, Robert and his wife Jeanette, Dean and his wife Christine. She is the cherished grandmother of Peter and Timothy. She is lovingly remembered by her life-long friend Maryann.

Carolyn, her sister-in law, describes Olga in this way: “My fondest memories of Olga were when we sat around the kitchen table doing crafts, especially around Christmas. What I liked most about Olga was her moxy. She had a wonderful sense of humor; and there were times she made me laugh so hard, I nearly fell off my kitchen chair. I love her so much and she will be missed.”

Olga was a Ukrainian-American homemaker who loved baking, flower gardening, and doing crafts. As an outflow of her Christian faith, she taught her children the Bible at home and she ran the nursery for several years at Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle. She also served the congregation as a leader of the Vacation Bible School and the Pioneer Girls. Because of her faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, she is now with him, sharing his joy and life for all eternity.
